Should I Leave Him?
Q. We have to move out as the house is sold and I find being with him so stressful. He makes decisions without asking me, is co-dependant on his parents at the age of 38 and I have to put up with their unpleasantness. He is a woman ogler and very hard to communicate with. Is this just how men are? We have booked a few weeks in a resort while he gives notice to his work so he can move away with me interstate. Should I forgive him and hope he changes and be grateful for what I have or just move alone?

A. This is not how all men are! If you are unhappy, now is the time to go. He is 38 and probably won't change now. You will find someone else that will make you happy. He doesn't sound like he is 38 he sounds closer to 23.

I hate it when my hubby ogles at women. He does it all the time, even in my presence.?
Q. We've been married many years and he has always been like this from the start. I've told him off many times but nothing has changed. Compared to my brothers and cousins, he is the worst type of ogler. How can I desensitise myself to his habit? As I get older, I feel more hurt. Yes, Julia, I've already cut down on outings with him and prefer to go out just with the kids. I've told him too that i find it stressful to go out with him. U know, he even looks up the escalator to peek under skirts. American, I never look at men or do so to get back at him. That kind of tactics are for immatured newly-maried people. I want to be a model wife and mum, and keep my marriage going

A. pick out a good looking man when you are out with your husband. Then ogle him and make it appoint to say, hes cute, like your whispering to yourself. Make sure the husband hears it. Then if he gives you the look or says something, then you say, "Now you know how I feel." I have been married 37 years. This is how I cured my husband of doing that. It works.

I do not understand the American thing about "staring." How do you see people if you do not look at them?
Q. I have been in the States for 45 years. In my former land, people dress to be seen. Looking at another person is not an insult or a sign of disrespect. I have never figured out when a look is uncomfortable or why. I would love to have a nice lady look at me all she wants. It would appear that if a good looking man looks at a lady, all is OK. If he is bad looking, then he is an ogler and a creep. What say you?
Asked by - Thu Dec 17 22:07:29 2009 - Etiquette - 6 Answers - Comments
A. Staring is considered inappropriate because it makes people feel uncomfortable. There are certain ways of looking at people too, for example, looking at inappropriate areas is a definite no-no. The best thing to do, if you want to see what a person looks like, look into their eyes. A person's eyes will tell you more about them than anything else anyway! If you really want to look at the rest though, look at their eyes and use your periferal vision for the rest.

What is the difference between a woman being "ogled" and her attracting a potential partner?

Are you a "baby ogler"?
Q. Forgive me if that isn't the right term. But are you one of those people that when you see a cute baby you begin to swoon over it and keep asking the parent a million questions about the child? Especially in lines at grocery stores and things like that. I was at a store and a woman kept asking the mother all these questions about her child and making baby voices and stuff. I mean the kid was cute but jeez that was so annoying and based upon the mother's face and body language I think she probably felt the same way. If you are a parent has this ever happened to you and do you feel uncomfortable or think it's rude? I don't think there's anything wrong with compliments and telling the parent their child is cute or trying to start a… [cont.]

A. No I am not a baby "ogler" (love this term), I do not ask other parents, esp ones I don't know a million questions about their child. I am a parent & I find this rude 100% of the time. You are not wrong for feeling this way! When my daughter was only months old I was in line at Wal-mart & an old man started "ogling" my daughter. It was summer, she hated socks so her feet were bare and he actually TOUCHED her feet! I freaked out, completely. Told him to get his dirty nasty hands off my daughter. Luckily I had just finished paying when he did those so I high tailed it outta there... I mighta also been a lil post-partum but STILL, to all you baby oglers- asking a million questions & accosting parents in… [cont.]

Men 26+, do you enjoy being checked out by women?
Q. ... is it an ego boost? Will you respond differently if the female is attractive (in your opinion) or unattractive? Younger or older get a different response? Or is it annoying and uncomfortable and make you think less of the female ogler?
Asked by Really? - Mon Sep 19 09:12:23 2011 - Gender & Women's Studies - 9 Answers - Comments
A. I used to be a bit overweight, and when women checked me out (I'm still good looking @ 40) I would be self conscience about my outer appearance. I lost some weight and now when women check me out, I feel like they are appreciating me in the some of the same way guys appreciate women. It is definetly a confidence and ego booster to be "checked out" at any age!
